Cheap Stuff that Gets the Job Done

Not sure if this one was covered yet, but I just picked up a pair of those Wrangle Outdoor cargo pants at Walley World for $21. Haven't put them through the test yet, but so far they've exceeded my expectations for the hyde I've heard.

I got some on clearance at Target that I plan to wear for the early season. Really comfortable for the money. Plus you don't pay the "camo tax."

Score! $15 with shipping. eBay. 100% merino banana republic thick sweater. Hast a high back collar which is perfect for the neck on those cold days. Merino is a fairly easy find on eBay. Maybe I’m missing something but to me a good casual merino shirt is still 100% merino.

Hockey tape. Threw some on my rest and riser, amazing how much at little bit will silence it. Planning to do the same on my spurs instead of stealth strips.

I have scored a lot of my merino from EBay and it works as well as the high dollar stuff.

Schrade old timer sharp finger

I think I payed 15 bucks during this of season... Cleaned 1 the other day with it....never needed to resharpen and still popping hairs after I was thru...cleaned blood off, strop, and put away for the next 1

I gutted my first deer and probably the next 20 with that knife, it was given to me by my uncle. A few years ago I gave it to my son and he has gutted his first two deer with it. It's a great little knife.

Love mine as well can't wait to get it bloody this year!!!

Toilet paper, not the John Wayne type though. (Rough and tough and don’t take crap off of anyone). Toilet paper is awesome for the obvious reasons, but also I tear chunks of it off and drop it when I am blood trailing deer, makes it real easy to find last blood, see which direction they are traveling, and easily find your way back out of thick brush.

Homemade trail/blood trail markers.

zip ties plus some reflective tape.

Reflective paracord and reflective vinyl.....
I once saw someone using broken arrow shafts and retroreflective tape to do the same thing. I like this better. I also get crepe paper streamers to use as biodegradable flagging tape... i generally go with hot pink or blue, colors that stand out among the leaves.
