Regarding the smell, I wonder if smearing a baking soda "cream" (not much water added) and letting it sit overnight and then rinsing thoroughly would remove the smell without messing up your paint job? My suspicion is that the smell lasts until the paint is cured, so maybe my suggestion is working against paint durability.

Hmmm seems like it would help some. I may try this tonight. Thanks!

My thinking is: even if it messes up the camo some.....it isn't a museum piece....and if you rattle can painted on top of aluminum without using a self-etching primer first.....that camo is going to flake off some this season anyway. I sponge painted my Predator a month ago, and everywhere I step or where it hits my pack the paint is already scuffed/gone.

How's the paint smell? Just painted mine last night. I'm hoping the smell is gone soon!
I had the same concerns. It hasn’t seemed to bother any wildlife as I have had multiple doe and a few small button bucks come under the platform about 20 feet below me.

One change I’ll be making is that I’ll be adding T. rex grip tape to the platform for two reasons. It’s a bit slippery and squeaky under my rubber boots
