Seems there’s a mix .... some wear their saddle in, and some pack it in and put it on at the tree. I’ve done both, and am not dogmatic about either choice. What I have decided though is, if it’s a long walk, where I can’t bike, I don’t like a saddle on my hips.
I added a set of Perry Y suspenders to my saddle today. I feel like such a fool for not doing it sooner. It’s the perfect mix between packing and wearing. The straps are elastic and wide, so they’re uber-comfortable to wear. I think they should be an add-on option for every saddle on the market. That’s how I feel about it.
