I’m not digging the past parallel limbs on the Matthews. My 16’ hoyt has them and you can’t press that with a standard Bow press.

I noticed that also . I don’t have a press but when I was at the bow shop I seen he had to use some special insert . Other then that tho these things are pretty wicked . I went from a 09’ ish PSE to the VXR and it honestly blew my mind . I’m sure the V3 is just about identical

I was surprised last year to see the longer axle to axle had a slightly slower IBO speed. I see this year with the V3 that is no longer the case. I have a VXR31.5 and love it but it's slightly too long for me for hunting but the VXR28 was just too steep of a string angle for my DL of 29.5. I'm going to have to at least shoot these and see if they fixed the above issues for me.

I could be completely wrong but I thought I heard that the V3 27 has a longer riser then the VXR28 if that’s true then that 27 will be one bad bow!

My hoyt I’ve had for 5 years has past parallel limbs and it always goes out of tune. Getting rid of it this year. Hoyt got away from that design after 2016. The VXR is an outstanding bow, I just hate that they have to make a change every year even if it does not benefit the bow.
 
First thing bow companies seem to do......make it so only a dealer can work on it. F that noise.

That's what the email stated. I guess that means the limbs are even more past parallel than the VXR since riser is longer but axle to axle is shorter.

I have no issues pressing my VXR without any special attachments with my easy green press.

VXR doesn’t have past parallel limbs, the new V3 does. You’ll need those adapters LCA sells so the bow doesn’t spring to the ceiling. I think they are called ultra lock adapters.

What do you call them? First website I pulled up uses the term "beyond parallel" for the VXR. When I look at pics of the VXR to the V3 they look the same to me. <edit> the V3 do look slightly more bent past parallel in a few of the pics...

I’ll be checking out the v3. I was hoping to find a tx5 used, but I haven’t been able to find one. I’ll be going from an 08 Parker Wildfire to a 2020 Mathews. Should be a wild ride!

Just looked at the LCA website and they do not have any Mathews bows listed as needing special adapters. I would think they would sell them if they need them since they are 99% of the presses in bow shops.
