I need help guys. Someone talk me out of ending it all haha

So this morning I watched my VXR fall 25ft (and also bounce off a climbing stick)

From what I can tell I didn’t bend any cams and riser, sight, stabilizer all look fine.

Here’s where it gets bad, got a pretty good gouge in my limb... has anyone else done this? And is there a chance I didn’t destroy $1400?

Can these new bows take stuff like this? Or are they like everything else and aren’t “built like they used to”

I’m hoping it’s just “cosmetic” and it only chipped the coating

Yikes! I feel your pain man. I almost had my VXR drop off my bow holder about a week ago when I was hunting on a real windy day.

Replace limb and it could have definitely been much worse. It could have been you bouncing off a stick and hitting ground after 25ft fall. Besides, you will probably be over that bow by the time the next latest and greatest super ultimate patented high tech bow from mathews is out next year with same riser.

It gets worse, trust me...
2 years ago my twin brother dropped my two month old Mathews Monster Safari out of the tree. We were hunting together, and he was using a muzzleloader and I was using a bow. I had to leave to make a phone call so he wanted to borrow my bow so I let him. In the process of him pulling my bow up to the stand his pull rope snapped and dropped my $2100 bow, yes $2100 just for the bow not including my $400 Trijicon sight, Mathews 6 arrow quiver, stabilizer and of course my arrows on some rocks and split my limb and dented my cam...

I dropped my Mathews LX out of the tree about 10 years ago. I called them and told them what I did. Totally my fault. They sent me new limbs for the cost of shipping

For all those making fun of the cost - I’d like to see what you drive? Or how much your cable bill is? Or how much you spend in something those who spend $1400 on a rig would make fun of you for.

ie we all are human and have same spending behaviors -just different where we spend it. So don’t knock. Plus, I had a $200 Craigslist bow then treated myself to a new Bowtech Revolt ($1000). No regrets. It rides nice in my 1995 Subaru. ;)

I agree 100%. What does anyone else care what I spend my money on? They didn't earn it or pay the bill.

Subarus rock! I have a cheap Subaru and a cheap bow too. I certainly wouldn't bash a guy that spends $$$ on something he likes though. I prefer ducks so I shoot a Benelli SBE that's probably worth more than the boat I hunt in.
