Grizzlystik.com samurai factory seconds

Thanks for posting!! I’ve never really sharpened before. Will I have to fight these to get them sharp?

Well I ordered four. They emailed me saying these are not currently in stock, but they’re expecting a shipment next week.

They prolly sold out already they dont last long. I dunno. I check in every now and then im running out. Great heads. They are really hard though and they chip easier than some steels. Just a heads up for guys that never used them before

Y’all check your emails. As soon as I received a “sorry we ran out email but have more arriving next week” I received another email saying that the shipment arrived today so it did ship!
Awesome! Thanks.

Nice. Enjoy. I would put them on a wide stone after using a marker on the edge. Some need a lot of work to get them in hunting shape. Definitely not a flat grind on the bevel but you can smooth it out with a little time and elbow grease. It should be visible enough when you look down the edge. Please post your opinions on how they came and how much work they needed to get them perfect. Interested to hear how much each batch differs. I didnt buy any of these yet.

I got mine earlier in the week. Just 1 samurai and 1 Maasai both 200g. They came sharp as ****. I shot them to check and they were dead on out to 30 yards.
I went to resharpen after and the Samurai had a 30 degree bevel instead of 25, that was the only thing off for me.

Just ordered six of these.

Just ordered some as well. Made the jump to the masaais this season. Never going back. I ordered 6 of these for hunting some tuffer locations where loosing an arrow is a higher probability.

I just tried to order 6 of them and it would only let me order 3 due to in stock so maybe they are out after my 3?

Last shot:

34 yd shot out of 62 lb bow. TAW is 660. 308 gr upfront.

Went through both shoulders including the thick part of one of the blades and buried deep into a stump. Deer ran/trotted 40 yds and tipped over. (First out of 4 deer to run past 30 yds) Screenshot_20201121-100804_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20201121-100819_Gallery.jpg

I'll have to keep watch. I would love to try a couple and see how they fly out of the X-bow without the heavy price tag to try.

im gonna try the overkill version of them. i wish shipping wasnt so much...i already trashed 3 of the clearance ones this season.

i just spent an hour and a half getting the edge perfect on my last of 6. im a kind of a psycho with sharpening blades though. even my steak knives shave. my wife thinks i have a problem.

I would try the magnus stinger killer bee 150. its not a single bevel but a great head for the money-- hard to beat.

Thought I'd post this here for anyone curious. I'd say for the price these are a good value - definitely not something to be afraid of making ready for hunting. The ones I received I would describe as deadly but not surgical.

can you try something for me? paint the edge with a felt tip marker and put it on a sharpening stone for a couple passes. Then let me know what your findings are or post a pic. There is a reason each batch doesnt meet their specs. You might be able to visually see the error if you look down the edge too if you have a good eye. For example, my last batch all had the same fault: there was a big dip in the middle of the bevel ill take a pic to show when i get home later.

Im just really curious to see whats off with this batch.
