First saddle pig kill (long post)

Well yesterday I got my first saddle kill with my bow. I set up on a very small transition line where there was just about a 20 yard wide strip that was separating 2 different sections of trees. Walking into the spot I knew pigs where here heavy but there was also deer sign with it I was gonna be happy with either animal. As I walked I started finding all sorts of pig beds and deer sign amongst them and as I looked I also found a shed antler from last year. I walked in about 200 yards down the thin weed patch and set up on the down wind side. As I was setting up had about 8-10 baby pigs come by that I couldn’t make myself shoot and they ended up running back off to where I walked from. As I sat there I had a guy walk in on me on the upwind side of the trail I whistled at him and he went straight upwind but made a complete 90 degree turn away from me. No problem but I was concerned about his wind now messing me up. A hour or so later I hear steps coming from in front of me on the edge of the weed patch and I see black legs stop. The pig I assume caught the guys wind and stayed locked up behind some trees at about 30-40 yards away giving me all the time in the world to make sure I’ve got everything ready to rock. She finally started to trot back towards me again across my 2 windows of opportunity. First window too fast 2nd window was last chance. I drew and had to time it just right to get her to stop and I did. I shot for 25 she was 20 so when the shot broke I spined her ( I have a love hate relation with spine shooting animals). Knowing I didn’t hit any true deadly Vitals I can’t watch animals suffer like this I had to time a moment where she had her chest showing where I could tuck another arrow through the chest and get a lethal shot. I did so but she was still breathing and from the looks I thought I hit her leg and went up to the shoulder with the second shot because she was kicking around when I shot so I put a 3rd arrow in to finish her for good this time. 3rd shot perfect took out lungs broadhead actually went up into the throat and into the skull. I rappelled down to take a closer look and decide if I should start dragging now or wait. So I decided to wait out the rest of the hunt in hopes to not mess up the other guy that I think was between me and where I parked. Seen nothing else after that and climbed down and drug her back to the truck and got out of there with a **** eating grin from ear to ear. Pig weighed 165lbs arrow setup was Strickland helix 150gr victory xtorsions overall weight 588 out of my Mathews traverse. I’ll have to say each shot hit mild to very heavy bone mass with Minimal to no damage to heads I was very surprised. Also learned that 2 broke arrows and 2 broke lighted knocks was still worth it to me to dispatch the pig as quick as possible. Congrats! I want to pig hunt real bad.
Thanks! If you ever get a chance to spot and stalk pigs with a bow and get one 20 or less you’ll never want to hunt them any other way. This is only the 3rd pig I’ve ever killed elevated all my other pigs have been ground spot and stalk less than 20.
