I have a Singer 21W180 industrial sewing machine head that I would like to give away to a member. It needs a table, motor, etc, but works well, and includes a new hook in case you ever need a replacement. It is a needle feed machine, and will be well suited for a variety of projects. Uses 135x17 industrial needles, and common G bobbins. You can cut a hole in an old wooden table, door, or sheet of plywood, drop this machine in, and fit a motor and knee lift.

One issue the machine has is that it only has a knee lift mechanism to lift the foot--the casting for the hand lever broke off at some point in the last century.

Here is a video of me manually turning the machine.

I can also send you off with a nice clutch motor to use with the machine if you aren't planning on shelling out for a servo motor.

Here's more info about this model. I'll add pics of my machine later tonight or tomorrow.

I may be passing through there on my way to Martin State, from Virginia. I’d love to pick this up and step up my sewing game.

It's all yours then! Just give me a heads-up.

Thank you. I want it, but I’m not certain of how soon I’ll be passing through there. It’s usually a last minute schedule change. Usually a few times a month, I pass through there.

There's no rush. It's up to you.

I have a couple working clutch motors that anyone here would be welcome to if they were in need of one. I’m located about 30 minutes north of Madison WI.

Thought I was still in the sewing machine deals thread. I’ll add this there as well.

Sharps is a great guy, he'll even give you the run down on the machine in 100 degree weather haha. Thanks again for that!

Interested but happy to see it go to a more experienced member/thread injector if someone is in greater need. If shootermike is a no go and nobody else jumps on it please keep me in mind.

I don’t know when I’m gonna get a chance to make it up through that way any time soon. I’d hate to keep these from someone else who might be able to put it to use sooner. Please pass it along to next I line, and thank you very much for your generosity.

I need to sneak this in here before it gets closed- this man is a GOOD DUDE. I got home this evening with the sewing machine, a clutch motor, and a bag full of extra bobbins/needles/ accessories, AND he shared some much needed hunting advice with this hopeless newbie. THANK YOU. Once I get my table made to mount it in, this machine set up and get this sewing thing figured out again, I'll need to make and give something away to give back to the community.
