Little back story. I do a lot of fly fishing and off shore fishing a good polarized sunglasses are just as important as the water is to catching fish. Off of that I wear my Costas everytime I walk outside because they make everything "pop", except when I go deer hunting. I don't wear them because of the flash you get off the lens down range. Does anyone know of a good polarized glasses that might have a matte covering over the lens?

Do not have an answer to your question but wondering what version of the Costas are you using for fishing?

580 in green for off colored water.
580 in blue for off shore.
I you haven't tried Costas, do it. I can't believe the difference they make. Cobia fishing made me go buy a $250 of sunglasses and I will NEVER go back.

I wear sunglasses all the time....not expensive but polarized. They seem to make visibility worse in the woods. After much frustration with it I just settle on leaving them in the truck and pick a tree that I'll either in the shade at sunrise/set or big enough around that it'll block the sun. I try to remember to wear clear safety glasses but forget sometimes mainly to keep sticks/wire grass out of my eye....but would love to find a sunglass that doesn't hinder vision in the woods

I was having the same problem with the cheap sunglasses being a hindrance in the woods. Also have to remember to take them off around dusk or you start packing up to early (Happened a few times fly fishing). I used to wear sunglasses until we were doing a man drive one time and I could see my buddy 200 yards away everytime he turned his head. Another reason none of my hunting rifles are stainless, that barrel sticks out for literally miles.

Have you ever tried amber shooting glasses? To me they brighten up the forest somewhat but may still be reflective. I typically wear my prescription glasses anyway when hunting so if there is a flash, I wouldn't have known it. I try to wear a brim hat of some kind and mostly set up in the shadows to keep reflection at bay from my glasses.

Rut daniels style

I used to shoot Trap and really liked the amber and the pink ones..... made the clay birds pop.

Yes, the yellow ones increase contrast and if I’m not mistaken are generally associated with wing shooting, hence the effect they had on your clays. Not sure how they would work in the woods, vice looking up at the sky.

I’m a big fan of Shady Rays for $45 or so.... but they don’t hold a candle to my Maui Jim’s.
