New saddle on the market

You can overlap them. Easiest way I've found, so far, is to loosen up waist belt, if necessary, separate the panels and bring the lower panel underneath the upper. Not the best pics, but best I could get.
I'm not sure overlapping will be necessary for me, but who knows.

You could also rig up a connection method and bring the bottom panel up on the backside.

I agree with @Chrighton it’s easy to put the lower panel beneath the upper panel for walking. Just cinch the belt down tight and it seems to stay put. The bridge over the neck also works well to pull the d rings up and out of the way.

I’ve been wanting to post this thread for some time so I’m glad I’m finally able to let you guy’s know about a new saddle that just hit the market.
As many of you know @JCLINE84 as the Knaider/Swaider guy he is now making saddles.
He reached out to me to try out his single panel design and get my thoughts.
I had became friends with him over the years from the forum we had traded gear and talked gear a lot so I was happy to try out his saddle.
I was totally blow away with his quality and attention to detail.
I myself over time have came to like a two panel design for comfort and ask him would he consider making me a custom two panel design and on his garage floor we started putting ideas together on making a two panel design more user friendly and easier to manage.
With this design it’s basically three

saddles in one it can be used as a single panel or opened up a few inches more like an expanding pleat or opened all the way up into a two panel design.
I went on back home and the next day I get a picture of the completed saddle and it was exactly what we had talked about.
I couldn’t wait to try it out and I knew it was special the moment I set into it. At one point testing it I actually had to reach down and make sure it was still on me it walks in that well.
To explain this saddle in words it walks in like a single panel design with the comfort of a two panel design.
The web site should be live very soon with more information and @valerio024 will be doing a video review in the days coming.

What's the company name

What size waist are you because that is the reason I sold my ESS because they touched each other in the front?

I’m a 34” waist and on the ESS my
D-rings came really close and they didn’t lay on my body like I would have liked so I made some modifications with covering the rings to eliminate potential noise while walking and climbing.
The ESS is so comfortable I did what I needed to make it work for me and I still like my ESS and it’s a very good setup but this new overall design is more manageable for me.
The straps need minimal movement within the D-Rings to adjust so almost all of the ring can be covered in like a vet wrap or stealth strips if need be.
My transformer was only meant to be a one off custom build and as you can see it’s custom made for me with no leg straps and the D-Ring to D Ring outside measurements is 37” the current production model is 39” due to trying to make the saddle fit more people in a one size fits most setup.
The model I have being smaller the
D-Rings ride perfectly tight against my body for walking and climbing so possibly custom sizing may be something @JCLINE84 can offer in the future but I can not confirm that at this point.
I plan to get a current model myself soon so I can speak directly on any issue you guys have and how to possibly overcome them.
One thing I did forget to mention was about the adjustment straps when we laid out the design from the start the sole purpose of them was to hold the bottom panel up while walking and climbing with that being at the time an issue with a 2 panel design falling down to your knees.
I later found out you can adjust the lower panel to where you find it comfortable and then tighten the adjustment straps snug and that helps transfer your weight ever so slightly but everything helps.
As you guy’s get your transformer saddles and you have any questions just ask and I will try my best to answer your questions either here or by PM.
If I don’t know the answer I’ll get it from @JCLINE84 or come up with a solution.
I’ve been testing this thing for months and I couldn’t be happier with it and I hope you guy’s enjoy it as much as I do.

Left this first impression in the vendor section but adding here too.

The craftsmanship is incredible! Looks and feels very well made. Out of the gate this thing was extremely comfortable In the back yard for about an hour or two. I actually had a hard time making it uncomfortable. The bottom panel adjusts very easily and the orientation of the panel strap pulls the pressure away from the hips like a
It’s not only comfortable but secure. The leg straps give me the security I like from rated leg straps but don’t get in the way like I experienced with other 2 panel saddles.

One thing folks were wondering about and that I also noticed was once I put it on the d loops did contact the leg buckles. They just seem to be at about the same length and sit right next to each other. I had a similar situation with the evo. I added small sections of tire tube and stretched it over the d loops. No clanking. Don’t let this dissuade you, this saddle has some true potential.

In briefly communicating with @JCLINE84 its my understanding that he is looking for easy solution like a small cover or neoprene sheath to offer with the saddle to silence the d loops before you get it.

I don’t think the D loops are ever going away because they are such a big factor in the comfort of the saddle. It’s no wonder that all the arborist and professional work suspension saddles use them, they just work. They are great once they are silenced. I like the cover better than wrapping in tape of some kind because it doesn’t hinder the adjustability of the d loops or the bridge.

I will Hunt out of it this week and provide an update after a 4 hour sit.2DAAB436-8DFF-44AD-905D-2CFE8C16039F.png8F8758B0-22E6-4B13-A193-5A05B09C20EF.png1562C704-BB78-4313-B4E0-11F079ECFD65.png

Is that a bike inner tube?

GCR,
I'll be waiting for your report. This saddle looks solid and well built. The D ring's have me unsure. I kinda like the metal less idea. Although the inner tube solves the noise issue. Also I'm not crazy about the plastic buckles holding the 2 panels together. If they were on the top of the top panel then a guy could overlap them more easily than tucking the bottom panel under the top panel. These are not huge issues. For some, This one is going to be a winner.
