I second the Keyshawn Leek. Got one about 7 years ago and my EDC rabbit hole adventure came to an end. Can find a good deal on some blemish knives @ kershawguy.com.

I carry a spyderco, my fiance laughed for two years, then realized she was asking for it twice a day, and decided she wanted a pocket knife. Got her a leek. 6 months later her father, who hasn't carried a knife since grade school decided he would really like one for his birthday. Great little knife. 2 years later they still carry them.

Going way out in left field here. My problem with nice expensive knives is I’m always afraid to use them. So to solve that problem, I found this and it is frikin sweet to have on hand and I don’t have to worry about what I do to blade what so ever.

I may get made fun of maybe but man it works for me. Lol. The pry bar has come in handy more than I ever thought too. And no I don’t consider this a nice knife by any means. The plus side it is well under your budget.

Kershaw Chill, super light weight, G10 scales and under $30! Have many more expensive knives but none as comfortable as this one. At a price under $30 I’m not afraid to use, abuse or lose it. Have done more with this knife than should be done and it’s never let me down, great edc that is easy to sharpen and holds an edge.

Been carrying one of these for a couple years now. Have another that stays in the trout vest or hunting bag depending on the time of year

@Westdesign03 - Not left field at all. One of my favorite lightweight pocket knives is the Sheffield 1282, which is a plastic folder that has a Benchmade Axis-style lock, and uses throw-away utility knife blades. Weighs like 1 ounce and is always on-hand to open boxes, cut cardboard, or any other cutting tasks at hand. Doesn't have a pry bar, but has a satisfying "click" every time the Axis-style lock secures it open, and is pretty sweet for under $5.00! Here's a link if anyone's interested ... you'll wonder how you ever lived without it: Sheffield 1282 Featherweight folding utility knife

I had a Kershaw Scallion that was my all around- but brush unclipped it from my pocket. :(
A good ol' Swiss Army Knife is very underated and easy to carry. Plus my favorite one was free from my previous employeer - was a Swiss company.
I miss those silly goosesteppers.

Kershaw is my go to fixed . Love this blade.

I've had a griptillian for over 10 yrs. I won't buy benchmade again if anything ever happens to it but I honestly don't think anything will happen to it....not sure if they still offer d2 blade option. Works as a pipe i.d. deburring tool, bottle opener, and also cuts stuff

Just curious why you wouldn't buy another Benchmade knife?

Very cool. Looks like a good one. Yeah I mean the vast majority of stuff I cut any day is junk stuff like cardboard or something like that. So I’m not gonna waste a $100+ blade on junk like that. Not even a $15-20 blade for that matter.

This gerber knife has some weight to it because of the pry bar, has that survivaly tacticool feel and appearance to it and the moving parts are actually pretty heavy duty metal with good resistance and snap when locking it in or out. So it has that satisfying snap too. The scales are actually pretty nice. Similar to G10 type scales but I don’t think that’s what it is. But they feel pretty nice honestly. Overall doesn’t feel like a utility knife at all really.

My EDC knife is a Benchmade 940 but that's outside of your suggested budget. I've also got a Benchmade Barrage that has an opening assist. Great knife with G10 scales but it's a little heavy. They make a mini Barrage too that would be lighter. Careful shopping should reveal some within your price range.

I don't know a lot about knives but, I know that this Kershaw that my brother in law got me for Xmas 15 years ago has been an awesome little knife. It's been abused, run through the washer and dryer more times than I can count, been lost and found repeatedly, and cut things a knife has no business cutting but, it's still going strong.

Had the same knife. Same experience. But man that curved blade was a pain to sharpen
