Hand me down Marlin 336 30-30. Not sure what year, I’ve had it for 30 years now. My favorite by far. Want to get a pistol caliber some day...maybe .357 to match my S&W.

Alot of nice rifles and pictures, enjoy reading and seeing the pics. About time for the big bores to show up.

Big bores....yikes! Here I thought the 45-70's were equal parts knock over deer and knock over hunter.

I can use the .357 bullets and load them in my .35 Remington cases. I’ve loaded a bunch with 158gr JHP’s. The shorter COAL doesn’t allow them to cycle reliably that’s why I’ve always wanted a 336.

I got a marlin 336 30-30 that my grandfather got for me on my 12th birthday (legal hunting age in PA). Hands down my favorite gun for whitetail. I plan on doing a full break down and clean this year and replacing the glass with a new vortex and maybe refinish the stock. Hesitant about refinishing the stock because I still remember what the scratch’s and scuffs are from that happened on past hunts. Can’t wait do the same for my son when he gets old enough.

I wouldn't refinish the stock. I remember my father and I hunting pheasants when I was about 12 or 13. I had borrowed my grandfather's Ithaca 20 ga. Sometime during the hunt I put a scratch in the stock. My father noticed when we got back to the truck and chewed me out good. Then proceeded to show me how you can use a little grease from inside the truck engine to hide the scratch so grandpa wouldn't notice. He had put scratches in that stock as well and apparently had done this before.
Grandpa is long passed. Dad passed a few years ago. I have that Ithaca now. I know right where that scratch is. Memories.

I have a .308 BLR I use for moose. I love that gun. It's a super easy gun to shoulder, great weight and length to crash through brush all day, and the white gold medallion is slick looking.

Most off the guys I hunt with shot 7mm or .338 and think I'm nuts, but I know my limitations with that gun. I hunt a lot of tight spots and rarely find my self in an opportunity to see past 500 yards, never mind shoot that far.

Levers for life! Lol

Mossberg 464

Dirty-30 1 of my favorites too shoot... Adjustable stock allows the whole family too shoot.

I think we're gonna see alot more tactical lever actions as time goes on. I would suggest a Bravo B5 stock for yours. Nice cheek rest and sturdy. I tried to get a rifle like yours a while back and was unsuccessful. Ended up with the marinecoat 464 carbine and happy with it.

I love mine....I know some peeps don't like it but I think it's a great gun for hunting. Synthetic stock so no worries about moisture, short throw, and IRON SIGHTS....I haven't mounted anything to it yet but a predator/hog light will go on there eventually. I can hit the pie plate at 100yds 5 outta 5 do I guess it's accurate

Lever's are a great choice for keeping your Buck to Doe ratio in balance. I've got two Henry's, a .30-.30 and a .22LR and a Mossberg 454. Put a Leopold VX-1 2-7 handgun scope on my Henry .30.30 it but I sent it to the factory and had them take the Duplex Reticle out and switched it for a German MK 4 Up post instead. Talk about point and pull, almost like a red dot on my shotgun but I have some magnification. This gun is accurate and fun to shoot!!! Top 2019-2020, btm 20-21Does2019.JPG
