With an industrial machine, if the foot height is high due to fabric thickness, the tension disks are released no matter the position of the lift lever.
This point is highly make/model-dependent.

Not this exact one, but close to it. The controller looks identical and motor power is the same, but mine has a slightly different adjustment for the angle of the motor.Sewing Servo Motor Brushless 750W For Consew Brother JUKI Sewing Machine | eBay

Which servo did you buy?Got my servos today. It said they came with needle positioners in the listing. Of course they didn’t arrive with any. Hopefully they can just send me the positioners without having to return the servos. I mounted them up anyway and they work well. Can definitely get them down slower than I can with my consew servo.

I have a Consew servo just like that so I didn't know which Consew you were talking about Maybe brushless vs. brushed?
I have a needle postioner for a servo motor and it does not work correctly on the 110V model. It is not the Consew. It mostly works but sometimes does the opposite. With a small pulley you can stop it when you want so I don't think the needle positioner is worth it. If you are sewing 1000 MPH it is probably worth it.I have a consew on my Juki dnu-1541. I ordered these for my pfaff 545 H4 and my singer 20u. The listing said it included needle positioners for $135. It’s about $200 for the consew with needle positioners so I decided to give these a try. I contacted the seller and they said that model did not include the needle positioner even though it clearly states that in the description and they want $55 for two needle positioners. Haven’t heard back from them after attaching a screenshot of the description saying it was included.

I can pick up a working Singer 95-10 for $50. Pic below. Anyone have experience with them? I dont think it has reverse. Figure it might be worth it just for the table and motor.
I'd grab that in a heartbeat for $50. I looked up a video of it on Youtube. It's fast. Going to have to tame that beast!
Interesting. My consew one works perfectly. I love it but because I’ve become used to it. It stops down every time and then rock the pedal backwards and it goes to needle up.

I'm with you--love it. That ability to tap out a single stitch, or rock the peddle backwards for needle up is really amazing. The only problem I have is that it's a slippery slope. Now I can't help but think I fast I could sew with an auto thread trimmer.
I downloaded the manual to read up on it. It was designed for medium/light use high speed sewing with a recommended top speed of 3500 stiches/minute. I may hold off until something more manageable for my skills pops up. Thank you everyone for the feedback. That one does have a slower motor on it, so it will be manageable with some practice (and a smaller pulley down below).
