Im getting a bow built for my daughter and my sister in law wanted to get one for her son. She didnt want to spend quite as much as me getting it custom made by a bowyer (I also have a son thats 8 months so I expect it to be a hand me down between them and their other cousins). Anyways, wondering if anyone has any suggestions on quality but on the cheaper side (<$150) for a kids compound or traditional bow. Appreciate it! I recommended the 3rivers lil john setup.

Put a whisker biscuit on this bow. Both my kids shot it. I put a d loop on it to get them started with a release later. $15 is not bad.

Zip tie to the riser. I just use the biscuit ring. It doesn’t given a true center shot but it’s much easier for the kids to use. My boys started at 1.5 years and 3 years old with this set up. With the right arrow the bow flings pretty darn good.

I would suggest a Genesis Mini or a regular Genesis. You can find one for around the price range if you look for a good deal.

I've used a diamond atomic for my son and it has been great. Very adjustable and small enough for a five year old.
