Sewing Machine Deals for the DIY Guys

Marketplace - Vintage sewing machine (Singer)

Singer 15-91 for $50. Could probably get it cheaper than that.

Not a 15-91 and not quite $25, but you may be able to talk them down....

edit: it's a 1930 model 66 by the serial number
Good machine but no reverse.

I picked up a made in Japan Kenmore Singer 15 clone yesterday for free which was listed in Craigslist. Said it did not work but plugging and unplugging the under bed plug and moving wires it started to work. It needed a lot of oil and was very hard to turn but only slight rust. It feels easier to turn now after being oiled overnight.

Free 15-91. Its too far for me to save, but may help someone else.

Screaming deal. A Singer 31-15, I think, with table and motor.

Another really good deal here, but different price range...

anyone know what model this is? Dirt cheap locally, wondering if I could put it to use.

Thanks BJ! For 30 bucks I think I'll take the plunge!
$30 is a good price. Make sure to oil every moving part with sewing machine oil. Not too much on motor bushings if they are accessible.

My 15-91 manual says if it hasnt been ran in a long time and is gummed/rusted up to put a drop of kerosene on all the areas you would oil and run it for a minute to clean things up and then oil

That should work well but sewing machine oil has no smell.

Went to a charity auction today, bought a slant needle Singer 401A for a dollar. Original birch carrying case, runs well, no scratches, a really clean machine. It has alot of pattern stitches that I will never use.
