I’m betting that’s the “new process”, for obvious safety reasons one would hope you are correct! They need to do all contact points at least!!!

I wish they would have made the V like the Assaults 2. It really would be a perfect stand maybe little heavier but worth it IMO.I bought a 1.0 last season. It hard som sharp edges. I just purchased a .5 not longer for a hybrid setup and the .5 is better than the 1.0 I received last year as far as edges go.

Curious what you used to round the edges? I keep going back and forth on doing that to mine.View attachment 48733
Literally did every edge on the backside of my stand to avoid shredding my clothes. Pissed me off pretty royally, but it's done.

Did they fix all the edges or just where the straps go?I bought a 1.0 last season. It hard som sharp edges. I just purchased a .5 not longer for a hybrid setup and the .5 is better than the 1.0 I received last year as far as edges go.
I wouldn't without a second strap down low, you guys using this as a saddle platform get a head nod from me. I wouldn't wanna deal with getting around the cables while trying to get a shot off. I use it like it was designed to be and it's a great treestand for short huntsYou .5 owners...are you able to walk around the edge/side loading it like you would with a traditional saddle platform?

I agree wider “v” would be worth the extra ounces and near perfection for hybrid use
I mentioned that to Andre before they released them (because I had already been using an OG 8.5# LW and a sand cast for hybrid use and a wider v was the main thing missing). He indicated that after Gen1 was out, he’d look into it. But I’m sure he’s worried about the weight increase. Definitely be more versatile and stable.

I don't think that would help much it needs a bigger V like this View attachment 49343
