Ok let’s lighten things up a bit now that we figured out how the world is gonna end.
sure, everyone likes to think they learned things from last year, practiced with their gear, scouted more, will have more free time, etc.
but the reality is, plans fall apart, and people get lazy or distracted or focused on other fun stuff.
So let’s hear it. We’re 30-60 days out from most seasons opening up. Are you going to be more successful this year deer hunting, or less. Define as you like and tell us why, if you’re so inclined.
I’ll start. I feel like I’ll be more successful this year bow hunting for deer. Last year I killed four deer, but no nice bucks. I would like to count a really big one I put a friend on, but he’s not on my wall. But the biggest thing that stood between me and big deer was time. I didn’t have time to make a Midwest trip. And I hunted a new property in a new state and found big ones but didn’t have time to hunt them.
I started a new job in may, and it has created a lot of flexibility in scheduling and most importantly, where my butt needs to be. I still travel a lot for work, but it’s nationwide now. And when I’m not traveling, I can be anywhere with an internet connection.
I currently have hunts planned in four states, and tentative on two others.
I have a feeling I’ll get a good one this year.
