If you are using them, which one's are you using and would you recommend them?
What color, as well?

Not the most popular but I use nocturnals and really like them more than others I’ve tried. They’re robust and just keep working. Only downside is you can’t change the battery like some others out there. But that doesn’t bother me. They’re just simple with all functioning parts internal so they just don’t break unless of course you break the whole nock.

I used to use nockturnals but the price for 3 was offputting considering you can’t change the batteries and I’d occasionally break them. I know it’s not popular on here to support made in China but I ordered the off brand version off Alibaba, I believe it was $30 for 75 or something similar. They work just as good and I’m not afraid of breaking them or batteries dying

Nockturnals with the universal kit. I know what shaft size I have but these work fine so why change it. Without them, I wouldn’t found the only arrow I shot…and missed… so far this year.

I've shot lumenock, nockturnal, thunderglow/and the old Easton tracers (2009 season, activated by magnet) lumenocks are probably my favorite, nocturnal would be my favorite if they didnt need a tool to turn off. Worst would be the thunderglow nocks. PITA to turn off.

Just got the cheap GUGA from Amazon ($16/6) for my trad bow. They're nocturnal knock offs with a tooless switch. Look good, just need to shoot em now.

I’ve only ever used nocturnals with great success when they are brand new but they are 50/50 on working if you keep shooting them a few times. From what a read Firenock is the original patented design and the guy who created them is some kind of material scientist. He apparently has it down to work every time but I’ve never tried them

I have used lumenock in the past and currently use nocturnal nocks, always in red color. To me they're an expendable item meaning after the first time I put one through game that nock gets relegated to an arrow that will be used as a second/insurance shot on an already wounded animal so battery replacement is not a concern of mine. Never had a malfunction with either brand.

Nockturnals in red for me. Been solid with zero issues so far. I always have a solid safety pin attached to a zipper that’s what I use to turn it off. Luckily I get them 50% off through the wife.

Nockturnal x in green. Shot 4 deer with them, had one break after passing through bone. The other 3 are still working. I clean my arrows with a little hydrogen peroxide to get blood off of them and wipe the nocks a little as well, they clean up well but there is always a little blood left inside.

I’ve seen some complaints about needing a tool to turn them off, the tip of my pocket knife works just fine for me.

It makes it easier for me to know if I made a good shot or not, so the hour I spend waiting to track goes by a little easier on my nerves watching the green light disappear into a kill spot on a deer.

That's the only reason why I don't trust it enough to use it a second time as a first shot on game.

Can I ask what your reasoning is, maybe you know something I don’t. The three used ones I have, I have shot 4-5 times each(at least) at a foam block while making sure my broadheads are still flying true and I’ve never had a failure.

I used nockturnals last year and didn’t like how they need to be turned off. Also don’t care for how far they are. This year I have Nufletch igniters and I really like them. I broke one last night when shooting a group so I’ll have to order some replacement parts. Easy to turn off without any tools and there is no way blood or water can enter them.

The best that I have found are from a guy on Facebook. His page is Woody's Archery Supply. Not really sure where he sources them but they have a switch on the side that makes them easy to turn off. They also fit the arrow shaft well and have a good string fit IMO. I had issues with other brands being loose in the arrows shaft, poor string fit, hard to turn off, or they turned on when I nocked them. They are new to me this season so hopefully I can do a field test with a deer or two.

Amazon knockoff Nockturnals, I think they're both probably made in the same factory in China.

Same.... In green. I have close to 50 shots on my "practice" nock. It's the only one I've had an issue with. It got rained on, along with 2 others and that one wouldn't fully turn off until I threw it in a bag of rice overnight. Non issue for a couple bucks each imo
