I heard there's lots of dumb deer down there.
I'm guessing probably from a bucket. Afterall we are talking about Alabama LOLYeah cool, nice bucks.... But are they hunting from a saddle?
Tagging @Nutterbuster so he knows what a Alabama trophybuck looks like. You’ll notice their antlers have more than 2 points, the bodies are very large, and they do not have any spots. They are also older than 1 year old.
I live close to Bankhead(bwma) there is a reason for the few big ones
Good genes
Lots of food
very low deer numbers, no food competition except for hogs.
The hogs seem to roam a lot, I'm not sure they like one kind of spot better than another, they just where they stop that night. I don't know where the big deer or hogs are killed but some of the hunters hunt where I would or could not go, I don't no how they get some of them to the truck, only foot power allowed. As we say you would have to cook and eat them down there.Where the hogs at? Lol

A little off topic, but my FIL did the same thing to me. He never killed a turkey, I took him fall turkey hunting and he killed a real nice gobbler. We also saw a couple of slammer bucks trailing a doe (I was tagged out on deer and turkeys so I was the "guide"). Asked him to please don't tell anyone about the little honey hole, no problem he says. Couple weeks later in rifle season him and a couple of his buddies are in there kickin' over every rock they can for 2 weeks straight. Last time we ever hunted together.I was going to say, a fool and his secret spot are soon parted!
I did a favor for my son and took his first cousin(introduction to bowhunting)hunting.
I was leaving town but told him to visit the same spot come the next weekend.
He took a friend who shot a deer and called me to share his joy.
I couldn't hunt there again. His friend was in there four times a week mucking it up too.
I told the first cousin " good luck to you, we are never hunting together again".
Turnip!
Michael Perry is hell on them Bankhead bucks. I've been keeping up with him since he shot the state record ML buck
