How many one stickers also hunt from the one stick vs. carry a platform/ROS?

I one-stick up the tree, then I:

Like the title says, those of you that one stick up the tree - how many of you also hunt from the top of that stick, and how many also carry a separate platform/ring of steps to hunt from? (and as a followup, if you DO carry a separate platform, does your one stick have a platform or a step, or nothing at the top?)

2TC/SRT/DRT/multistick/hand climber/etc. climbers please do not weigh in on why your method is superior, I am just trying to figure out how most of the one stickers do their thing (i'm a 4 sticker currently).

I’m running a Sk1kar with an angled monarch on top. I use that exclusively for short hunts but use their ridge runner platform too.

Hard to beat a real platform for comfort.

When I use a ROS, I don't even touch my stick after reaching hunting height. When I drag a platform along I'll setup my stick around 10 to 12 o'clock on the tree to give me extra mobility.

I've considered adding a platform to the top of my stick, but that would screw up how I pack my stick. Additionally I'm not entirely convinced having a stick with a platform is going to hold up to the same amount of side pressure I would have on a traditional pivot platform.

I use UP as my platform. Then put 3 ameristeps on ocb, one on each side of the UP and the third 180 degrees from my platform. Don’t really need them but it makes it really comfortable. Also I already had the ameristeps so why not use them. Its no xtra weight don’t even notice a difference if they in my pack or not. The only thing I just have to remember to put them on the tree at my last move before I climb on my platform.

I have been trying out three different types of 1-stick/no-stick this hunting season. I have to have ROS steps (addicted) so I always add something to whatever I’m using for the top. Honestly still trying to figure out the best/easiest solution that is easy to climb with and easy to add a couple of steps to when at height…. Haven’t found the Holy Grail yet!

EWO Ultimate with 5 1” squirrel steps on an cob strap. Most of the time is spent on the stick platform then the steps but I like the options of the steps to move around the tree if need be.

I one stick climb with a modified wingman. Hunt from it every time out with no additional platform or steps.

I climb and hunt from a single stick with an integrated platform, but have recently added 2 TH steps on an OCB at 4:00 and 8:00 simply for comfort purposes.

I put the steps at knee height instead of level with the platform. This allows me to do a couple of different things. I can sit with my legs spread apart and not smash my junk.

I can also lean back and prop one leg up or stand straight up and put one foot up Captain Morgan style. This is the most comfortable setup I've tried thus far...

Need to try this I guess. I find my self propping one foot on the other often.

Who's got a couple steps they'll let go of? (Don't tell my wife)

When this idea blows up as the new trendy thing to do, I want someone to come up with a cool acronym or nickname for it like the "knaider/swaider" or "2TC".

The DB OCB Knee Tree or something silly like that. :tearsofjoy:

"I achieved all day comfort with my legs DOKT into place."

I hunt from my flat scout on my EWO one stick. I can do 6+ hours no issue. However, I'm planning on taking my predator with me in the coming weeks because I will be changing to a larger boot when it snows.
