New bow in the works

Your way of thinking is blasphemous to the shared collective mindset in our community. You do not belong here! Take your logic and go away before our spouses see this post!
I'm only shooting one at a time. There are at least 10 bows in the shop, I may have missed counting a bow. And I've sold or traded many others in the past. I apologize for using logic but I'm starting to think that at my age somebody who doesn't know a thing about trad bows is going to end up giving them away for next to nothing.

Give them my number :tearsofjoy:

After much reflecting, I think my tone was taken out of context. My dear sir, who am I to judge what other gentlemen of high standing and impeccable character do with their bows? I hope kindly that you remember us (or just me) when you decide to unburden yourself with those dusty bows. Same to the rest of you gentlemen!

And........It's done!

Looks amazing. Question, have you guys always ran with that high of a brace height?

His old riser design was around 7.5". He moved the grip forward 1" so he's assuming around 8.5" will be the sweet spot but, these are the firs two bows he built of this design so I'm going to play with it a little and see.

I would be awfully tempted to start at 7.5 and work up as needed. How are you going to paint it?

Yeah, In theory you would be in the same part of the limb at 8.5" as you would be at 7.5" with the old riser but, nothing's set in stone. I'm going to play with it and see. The few shots I put through it seemed really quiet at 8.5" so far.

How are you going to paint it?

LOL, Only those metal riser, ilf rig guys have to to pretty their bows up with makeup, right @Red Beard and @Razorbak66 :)

LOL. I’m jelly of that riser absolutely beautiful. You did a amazing job. I love walnut plan and fancy. Highly underrated wood. Yep I like to pretty my metal and WOOD bows with make up
