New Gear Release 2022!

I apologize I though I had seen on some of their packs using 1000d. Perhaps it was old packs or a review that was just incorrect.

Some of the bags did use 1000d multicam. I have one.

I don't doubt @enkriss is correct, though I don't know what makes the Multicam tougher/heavier fabric. Must be the weave, right?

I had a tailgunner and e&e that were 1000d. All the new stuff is 500d. I specifically asked Amanda Roe that exact question.

I believe you. I just don't know why the fabric is better. Milspec?

You just pay extra for the camo print on the fabric. It has something to do with the coloring process for nylon. Polyester can be sublimated but nylon absorbs water/ink so it’s harder to color. Since camo requires a color scheme as opposed to all one color, it costs more to make camo cordura

Eh…. Had a shapecharge. Doesn’t live up to the hype. Those X-ray straps were god awful.
I was thinking more along the lines of the duplex lite and a stryker xl to replace the 2 I have now. It would be easier to pull the trigger if the 2 I have now didnt work so well. wont be making any changes before this coming hunting season, I dont think.

Thank for the info! My mind wasn’t made up I just didn’t know the differences. I am trying to educate myself before making a decision. I like options but they need to be good options.
Now with Kuiu vs Kifaru. That’s not apples to apples. Kifaru is much more expensive. It is also much more capable of carrying weight and comfortable. There is a huge difference in the frame suspension and the x ray straps. It also American made. I have had both and the Kuiu is not even close to the level as Kifaru with weight in it. However, if you are not carrying over 60#, it may not be worth the extra money. I have broken two Kuiu frames packing out elk but never blinked with a Kifaru. But options are good.

Solely Predator vs Rebel

Price: $185 v $300
Construction: Die cast aluminum v Machined Aluminum w/ welded post
Traction: yes v maybe once they make them, maybe not
Finish: bare metal v something darker in the photos
Cam Action: both toe cam
Versa button: Cast, round v Machined, rectangular (same shape as Fix that allegedly frays straps)
Platform teeth: Horizontal triangles v Vertical triangles
Weight: 3lbs v 2.75lbs
Batwing: Replace with EWO vs batwing
Angle adjustment: flush to platform, cracks reported on previous gen vs raised, 1st gen
Size and geometry: see photos (hard to know what the front edge length is on the Rebel)
Customer feedback: praise and complaints vs speculation
Warranty: 1 yr from purchase vs 1yr for saddles, platforms yet unspecified

I'm sure I missed some stuff. Neither mate with sticks so far as we know. There are other options to look at in this category that may or may not have features you prefer.

FYI… Latitude specifically stated on the website description the button/post is chamfered to not fray straps…

Is this a problem with a lot of company’s? Are they too cheap to just throw a radius on all the appropriate edges lol

Thats swell. The button/post on my Fix is quite smooth too. They're the same shape. Time will tell. We know the status on the Predator.

ROS guide: Predator none, Latitude yes

No just Lone Wolf Custom Gear….lol. They seem to refuse to buy a vibe table for some reason.

I wish they would. But, there's not many players in the machined platform game. And until recently, they've been value priced compared to the competition. The Fix post has been smoothed out. The Rebel may blow it out of the water for fit, finish, and function. But, it's been addressed by LWCG on that platform. Maybe not "fixed" lol.

That is a nice touch.

It's an interesting feature. I'm not sure I wouldn't prefer a ROS strap against the tree behind the post for maximum support, but it's going to be way easier to set up this way.
