What saddles d lo yall use when you one stick? I currently have a CRUZR XC but was infer if the Latitude Method 2 would work or be more comfortable? Or would the CRUZR XC be my best bet?

I run the method and it works great for one sticking. I like how I can move the lower panel to more of a thigh support when I'm sitting down to move the stick.

I use the method 2 and I only one stick. I think that most saddles would work just as well.

Any saddle would work. Pleated is more comfortable when sitting moving the stick. I used a latitude classic most of the time.

I don’t think you are going to be any more comfortable in the method coming from the XC. Maybe even less comfortable. But welcome to the chase of finding the “one”.

One sticking and saddle comfort really have nothing to do with each other. Any saddle will be comfortable for the little bit you sit in it as you climb.

I gotta disagree with this. I had a great one-panel saddle that was very uncomfortable for 1-sticking because it rode up so much when I hung from it to move my stick. I, personally, have found 2-panel saddles to be way more comfortable for 1-sticking. Can just sit on the bottom panel and not have it ride up.

I agree wit this. But I think you need to consider the trade off. If you really like the saddle you have while hunting, don't switch to something for a little more comfort JUST for 1sticking. Sometimes we focus on the tree and forget the forest literally. The whole climbing stage is 5% of your whole hunting outing, pick a saddle that is comfortable for the 95% of the time you are actually hunting. I have 1stick out of a rock climbing harness, 1 panel, 2 panels, and bunch of DIY stuffs. While I think 2 panels are most comfortable for everything, my main concern is the 4+ hours in the tree, not the 15 MAX minutes climbing.

Try everything, that is part of the fun. But pick the best saddle to hunt in, not to climb in.

Absolutely correct. I usually one stick with a JX 3. A bit harder to climb with but nicer when moving your stick up, just sit and put the whale tail into the tree. Comfort for a long sit is all that matters.
