Dump Pouch, Roll Pouch, or Drop Out Bag.

I cant understand in what world putting the repeal rope in a backpack would be better. Can I get a link to this thread? Hell Im trying to figure out how to carry my one stick so I dont have to mess with my pack at al till Im to hunting height. Id hate messing with my pack for my climbing rope

Obviously you will choose what works for you, but right now I am planning on carrying my one stick and bow, with my linesman belt on my saddle and rappel rope in my backpack. At the tree, I simply pull out the rappel line and attach one end to my bow the other to the tree as I climb. Once at height, I plan to pull up my bow using my rappel rope, place the rope back in my now hanging pack, again, so it is not on my saddle as I hunt. I simply lower the rope at the end of my hunt with my bow attached, and then rappel down. Very simple and serves a dual purpose as a gear hoist and rappel rope while keeping the weight off my saddle. May not work for you but I have found not having the weight on my saddle and using the rope as a hoist to be a nice advantage. Good luck.

Use a light weight Fanny pack. You can separate your stuff. Move it to what ever side is more convenient and remove it when you want or need to. You have a little extra room for storage if needed and is cheaper in most cases.

They still make those??

Get yourself an Orion from @JCLINE84 and ask for the one stick attachment method and rope belt01E825B7-81CC-41D7-B354-5BA91CE68915.jpeg

How many of you use a small bag to carry your rappel rope? something similar to this bag. I could attach this to the Molle on the waist belt of the CAYS 2.0 or the Platow depending on which I have.

As they say: Ask ten saddle hunters which method they prefer, and you'll get twenty different answers.

Everyone just needs to find what works well for them. And then spend a few years and several thousand dollars more to unnecessarily try to find out what works absolutely "best" for them.

But in the end it all really gets the job done just fine.

I have a orion and i "need" that to carry my one stick.. can it be retrofit?
It’s just an attachment I made for his stick that goes through molle. Isn’t Orion specific. You can make your own by sewing a little webbing or you can use paracord to tie something similar. It’s just two 5/8 inch plastic clips with one end attached to the stick and one end attached to the molle. Stick clips to your saddle. If you want more details about how to make a set just holler at me. If @St.CroixArcher wants to post a pic you’ll see how easy it would be to make them.

I have the rope belt and was going to make something that would attach to the saddle to carry the stick but I hadnt seen anything until this
You can buy these at tx5. Not sure they will work for the stick though.
