What are some of the things you tried (can be hunting/saddle focus but does not have to be), really like it, but for some reason it wouldn't work for you in regards to the main goal of hunting?

One of the most common example is traditional bows, some guys tried it, but just went back to compound because it just wasn't for them. They want to like it because of the tradition of it.

Or a ring of steps, some like the packability, but they did not like or think the packability was worth the comfort of platform etc.

For me, it's using the flipped seat of a hang on as a knee pad. I REALLY wanted to do this, but with my short legs, even with the 18" post of the LWCG.5, my knee was hitting at the lower edge. So while I'm still planning to use it, I can't be like those cooler guys that can rest their knees. Oh well, I'm going to run a large pouch at the bottom like most hang-on users.

Also using the LWHC as a climbing device and platform. It a great system, but its not for me. I just don't feel that comfortable with it.

OH for you jokers. Some common answers to this question are:

Marriage, having kids, jobs, voting, etc....

Oh man where to begin… there was a couple of lightweight climbing sticks we bought and used but didn’t work either due to foot clearance from the tree, or bent stand offs…. There was some “dyneema (imitation amsteel) rope” from USA rope and recovery that definitely didn’t work for me. And so far self filming for how to and hunt videos is not working very well either!
it probably doesn’t help that I don’t enjoy talking in front of people or cameras

I keep trying "real" packs with internal frames and load lifters and all that jazz for hunting, mainly thanks to @kyler1945. I like a frame back for backpacking. And every time I pack out a deer in my schoolboys backpack I don't love it. But I can't find one I like, and they're all too dang big and fiddly and noisy.

I would rather carry my crap in a gunny sack and eat the deer where it falls than fool with any of them I have monkeyed with

I'm gonna be the odd man out here haha... Platforms for me. I wanna love the space and ability to take a little pressure off the saddle, but the little space I consistently use just doesn't justify the additional weight or packability. I'm currently a WEI Stepps ROS user (red flag lol), and I have a pre-order in for a Latitude Wingman.

I have an old army Alice pack I use for bringing quartered deer out of the woods. The first time I heard about this method from Mr. Warren Womack I went out and immediately bought one. It cost about $25.00. You may have tried this already.
