    Stupid idea?

If you run your webbing around a light carabiner instead of the bridge loop it makes it easier and quicker to attach and only gains minimal weight

    Stupid idea?

why 2 carabiners? I have tubular webbing for mine that is girth hitched on one side with a triglide and a carabiner on the other. I unclip one side and put it in my pouch or around my back to get it out of the way.

    LWHC solution

Yeh it actually sounds worse than what it really is...LOL It cracked out on the very end and its a through wall crack (separation) on basically a non load bearing part of the platform. The worst thing I could see happening would be to lose the corner square. I bounced on it and walked all over...

    First Lite Merino base layers

hope this is not a dumb question but have any of ya'll used the cabelas ECWS stuff? If so where would you rank it amongst the first lite and others. I hunt down south and hate wearing a jacket so layering is my go to means to stay warm. I currently have the heavy weight ECWS base layers and the...

Yeh I'm not worried about it just glad I checked it out.

    LWHC solution

I don't have pics of my repair but I left the crack exposed and reinforced with paracord the same directional plane then added a gorilla tape cover to make it more solid. Worked great so far and I can monitor the crack and change plans if needed. This is the second one I have seen crack at...

    LWHC solution

here you go. Last time I used it I noticed it had a new squeak so I inspected it and found this

    Bridge options

Webbing, easy to tie on if you need to replace, slides through carabiner better due to no burry.

    LWHC solution

Agreed... I made sure my coupler nut is in contact with the original ramp before drilling for added support as well. While inspecting mine last week I did find a crack in the casting. Its out on the very end where I stand and feet make contact. Completely separated, I took it an bridged the...

    LWHC solution

Only thing I did different was add a washer to the inside at the bolt head contact area to help distribute the load a little better. Its just a thin washer that I intended to let deform slightly when tightened to match the contour of the internal reinforcement area. IDK if it really helps but it...

    Tether and climbing

Nothing wrong with using the ropemans like you are but they can be eliminated from your set up and actually speed you up on the ascent I believe.

    Tether and climbing

I tried this exact same thing and found it easier to use a prussic on the linemans rope rather than the ropeman1s being it is not directionally sensitive. Tie knots on each end of the rope and just alternate the ends. Before loading the prussic in the other direction ensure it bites in the new...

    LWHC solution

In the off season I plan to modify an old hawk helium stick to bolt onto my LWHC in the same way you used the tubing. I have already done the rope mod to it and really just need to figure out what length I want to cut it and get the rest of the hardware. I have done some brain storming with it...
