Multi-purpose Target (Steel Plate, Paper Target, Arrow Tuning)

I built this target in about an hour with scrap wood and some wood screws. This could easily be expanded to have three or more levels for the steel plate, and an expanded paper target/tuning area. The 2x8s on the outside of the drawing are optional in case you want additional stability. I didn't...

    Injured shoulder exercises for archery?

https://www.amazon.com/OBLT-FIT-Training-Clubbell-Exercise/dp/B0B8ND973Q I have a set of 5lb and 10 lbs each. They work the small muscles in your shoulder so you don’t go very heavy. Also gives you an excellent stretch at the same time. Highly recommend.

    Injured shoulder exercises for archery?

Both of my shoulders have been jacked for years, left one from shooting my bow (I’m left handed) and the right from Jiu Jitsu. I’ve used a combination of the following to get myself back to where they don’t hurt anymore and I have decent mobility (at 57 that’s about all I can expect): 1. Find a...

    Cranford MFR

Hate to hear that, been using their screw in steps for years. Recently switched to bolts due to cost and carry weight, but still use the Cranfords for ROS in presets.

    Anyone Shoot 600+ Arrow Weight?

I’m shooting about 800 grains out of my Hoyt Defiant 75 lb. Sirius Apollo 250 cut to 28 5/8, Ethics insert/outsert with 265 gr Meathead single bevels. I was surprised at how little it dropped from my previous 525 gr arrow at 20 yards. It wasn’t until about 25 yards that the drop started to...

    Rope mod for platforms

I’m using an Amsteel daisy chain on my Predator, with a timber hitch. Works great, really gets the platform tight to the tree and it’s quiet and light.

    Team 3 Thread

Was out this morning for a couple hours, temps in the mid 50s felt really nice. No movement but the two big white oaks I was hunting over are absolutely raining down acorns. Just a matter of time before the deer and bear find them.

Hey guys checking in from NE Tennessee. I’ve been saddle hunting for a dozen years or so, started with the old trophy line after reading John’s books. Our season started last Saturday, I’ve been out a couple times, had does in range but couldn’t get a clear shot. Still a little hot down here for...
