It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

Hi. Just dropped to the bottom to be…well….lazy. I gun hunt out of my saddle in a camp that uses dogs. I don’t take much up in the tree with me. I do like to use a Predator platform and may purchase the bag to fit. Has anyone used their Predator pack as a compression panel on the JX3...

    Loose amsteel girth hitch.

Maybe. That’s a skill I’ll have to learn first. Not sure if I’ll take the time this year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Loose amsteel girth hitch.

Option 2: Amsteel over the stand off. It takes the weight. Orange cord just keeps it from sliding. It doesn’t slide without the cord but why mess around more than I need to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Loose amsteel girth hitch.

This is an amsteel 3 step aider girth hitched onto a rapid rail. Would give me 8 feet in one move. The question is: Is it safe to use amsteel like that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cold Weather Saddle Hunting

The legs come down to my boots. A base layer, thin heated vest, fleece mid layer, then cloak. Toasty at -15c. Full face hat needed too. Can pull arms inside the cloak. Muff not needed. If your fleece layer has pockets it’s nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cold Weather Saddle Hunting

I have a SJK Thermal Cloak. Don’t think they make them now but I’m sure you could find a used one. I had a seamstress cut the bag down the middle And make 2 legs. Seems to work well enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Wild edge stepp lovers

I have trouble with the knaider. I can’t get it to release from the cross bar when stepping up. I’ll have to practice that more. I do have 3 step aiders that work reasonably well. 3 steps to 18 feet. A 4th as a hand hold at the top. Platform. I rappel down. Rappel rope is my pull up...

    Tide for cover sent

Should get Eberhart involved. Put him in freshly washed tide clothing and someone else in Scentlok. Then film the deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Friction hitch vs. Ropeman 1 OFFICIAL (red neck) TEST

Watched a video by Privileged Bow Hunter on YouTube. He has an autoblock on his hip, a schwabische hitch to hang from and tends the Schwab with an ATC. He can hang from it and it’s ready to rappel without any changes. I gave it a try and it works well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
