    Tether for aider

I appreciate everyone's input. Sounds like I may be trying to hard to split hairs here by using only 2 sticks and getting 18ft. Either get a light weight set of sticks like the ONEs, whenever they figure their **** out, or look into one sticking.

One reason being im not sure what the weight rating is for a downward force on the ridge runner in one specific location the hook is attached. The force of me climbing would not be distributed across the platform.

    Tether for aider

The hook and the strap is just brainstorming. The hook idea came from the backwoods mobile aider. But the whole rig as a whole is not a finalized product I plan on climbing with by any means. My goal was to use my movable aider on 2 sticks, yet find a way to get a few extra feet above the 15ft I...

    Tether for aider

Yeah yeah I know... I was suppose to give it a shot this summer and never found the time. Horrible excuse but I just keep looking at it thinking it's a ton of work and a great way to work up a sweat. But I can't bash something I haven't tried. Those one stick platforms comparable to my ridge...

    Tether for aider

Indeed I am trying to find the safe method. I will admit, with it laying against the tree it is difficult to get my foot into the aider. I even struggle with the aiders attached directly to my stick, usually have to kick the loop out and scoot my foot in. If it came down to repelling down, I'd...

    Tether for aider

I got it off an old cam/strap that came with a set of normal climbing sticks. I'm using it for experimenting at ground level but without knowning it's true rating, I plan to get one specifically for this setup.

Not the hook as much as the strap. The hawk strap slips through the buckle with the direct pull down of the aider.

Yes, correct. Or at least the last step to the platform be a short distance, opposed to "climbing" onto the platform. I've tried that on the ground and can only imagine it being difficult 18ft high with bibs on.

    Tether for aider

Working on my three step aider, I'm looking for ideas on how I can extend my height. I'm dropping to 2 sticks this season which get's me roughly 15ft to my feet. If I set my platform head height, I can get to roughly 19ft using a strap to attach my aider to. This allows me to step up and across...

    Hawk helium mini sticks straps...defective??

I also have a buckle that slips, I have to manually push it up to get it to lock. Weak spring? I've made zero modifications to mine.

    Paracord hoist cleat

I use paracord to hoist my bow, and at times a pack loaded with gear. Gripping such a small diameter to lift heavier loads is not always the easiest. Has anyone used some sort of hand clam cleat like the one pictured below to lift paracord? This one in particular is $100, looking for something...

    CuddeBack questions?

Very happy. They just rolled out remote setting changes, which in my opinion was the only features missing. Their mesh technology is the future and you can have 24 cameras under one cell plan. Use the cameras that take D batteries. The J series use to be AA but they just released a revised...

Any reviews of this saddle. The Cruzr saddle

Or a TX5. Dying for this comparison. You convinced me to get the XC weeks ago, yet TX5 has been getting a lot of hype lately. Now I'm torn between the two.
