Thoughts on Broadside Stands climbing platform???

I just watched the video, there’s a lot of cuts and pauses and that tells me that the climbing experience likely wasn’t too smooth.

Thoughts on Broadside Stands climbing platform???

Attach it with soft shackles I would think. That’s a very strong amsteel attachment method i don’t see how you could easily unhook this and move it around limbs. Especially while hanging

    Max range

I’ve seen a lot of arrows get completely ducked at 15 yards and in too. I think if a whitetail makes a hard move at the wrong time you’re going to miss/make a bad hit at any range.

    Max range

Killed a whitetail buck at 70, have killed another 3 at 40-50. I think if you’re accurate, it’s just as easy/likely to get jumped and make a bad hit at 20 as it is 50. But I’m talking accurate as in will hit a golf ball every time at the target range with your hunting setup. I am not that...

    Safety mishaps per climbing method

I think ladder stands give people a false sense of security. I have had several close calls with ladder stands that weren’t perfectly placed

    new backpack for platform/sticks

Here’s my mystery ranch set up ready to hunt this weekend. This is a “hunt ready” weight meaning all the stuff I’m taking in is in the pack. I use the sling and 3 pouches on it. This is both lighter than the bag and offers more accessibility as my stuff is outside. The gray pouch holds my kill...

Maybe Selling my Mission, Buying a Small Hangon

I hunt from my trophyline EDP, and the wife hunted from the trophyline mission last year. She had some trouble with getting turned around and getting drawn on the platform. She's just used to a larger platform on a hang on stand. So probably going to pick up a lighweight small hang on for her to...

    Steel Force Hellfire

I’ve shot those in 175 and my wife has too. They’re everything you could ask for out of a fixed blade head

Simple question, I think? Are longer stick/post sturdier against kick out in general?

I think the top 5 factors that are critical to avoiding a kick out in order of importance are as follows 1. Attachment type. (Cam buckle or ratchet straps are the best by far, but with weight penalty) 2. Tree straightness. (Basically all kick outs I’ve had are around knots, branches, bends or...
