    I am about done with my DIY platform. I ended up putting nuts and bolts as the standoff contact points. This allows me to adust for twisted trees. The boat strap is the sh!t, its a tad short at 3' so I may have to make it longer. I plan on removing the S hood for a look to go over my DIY versa...

    Well I am getting closer to being done. I upgraded the bolts and the pivot metal so I gained some weight but it’s strong jumped hard and the strap is the flex point. Where do you guys mount the versa button on the upright?

    I torqued the clamp with an impact driver. It is no longer round and completely square. The "bolt head" of the hose clamp is the point of impact and acts as the spacer, it does not spin. I stood on it and did some significant jumps and it did not budge.

    You are right, I will need to beef that up. I just had some material in the garage so I start sticking it together. I have a 10 day trip to Maryland Nov 1 and had a predator lined up via private sale and it fell through.

    LeanMachine, what size square tube is your post? I used 1.5" .065 and It crumpled when I jumped on it. I even welded in a gusset.

    So the platform is really strong. I jumped on it a bunch trying to break it. The post is not strong. It is 1.5" square very thin, like .065" maybe less. I had it laying around from a project from years ago. I would like to make the post aluminum and plug the area where the platform pushed on...
