    Both Eyes Open?

I shoot both eyes open whether I’m shooting right or left handed.

    Trad Life

No dog. Found a fletching. Got on the blood again and used all my time up. Then after failing to find additional blood we did a search pattern. No deer and out of time. Did right by the deer with the time I had.

    Trad Life

Shot a trad deer out of saddle last night. Got on to blood late. 4 hours after shot was finding fresh bright red blood. Arrow as far as I can tell is still in the chest of deer it was 100 yards to first blood and over a 400 yard track thus far. Backed out and am headed back out with a buddy this...

    Ugh why?

I love the pac seat to be sure. But part of me longs to sway among the branches.

    Ugh why?

I think realistically, my preference is related to how cold it is outside. If it’s hot, I’d rather be in the air. If it’s freezing cold, I’d rather be on the ground. Hopefully the new sticks will arrive before I have a hunt on Tuesday. Only time will tell.

    Ugh why?

Well I’m scouting some private property I have access to now and there is a perfect ambush point where I have deer on camera. But it’s the perfect tree to climb so I may not be all ground this year. It’s amazing every time I’m in the air I wish I was on the ground and every time on the ground I...

    Pac Seat Review

Yeah both seats I have are still working great. I broke a couple of zip ties on them easy replacement and I carry zips while hunting. Still quiet still working great. Dove hunted yesterday with one and the belt acts like a typical dove belt while I’m carrying the seat. Carries shells, water...

Last year sold my longbows and killed 2 deer with a compound just not the same!!!

My little bro just started with a stick bow and with some instruction on form and helping him out and tuning arrows properly, after a few weeks I’m confident he can kill a deer at 20. Instruction and encouragement helps. I’ve been trad the whole time but did by two compounds years ago. Hated it...

Last year sold my longbows and killed 2 deer with a compound just not the same!!!

I’m headed out to woods tomorrow for the last day of velvet season. Quickest way to get good at trad is to have nothing to fall back on and practice. In the words of Henry Ford. “If you think you can or can’t, you’re right”. best of luck all.

    Season Warm up

Nah, I shot them from ground. Didn’t document with pictures due to son running away briefly when I killed his chicken. I do have a pic of cooked birds.

Don’t know yet but they made killers holes in birds. Should have taken pictures of wounds. It was impressive.

    Season Warm up

Gold tip trad 400 shafts, trad vanes 3 fletch, 200 grain bear paw two blade broadheads up front. Forget the length of the arrow but the total weight is 550 grains. Bow is 50 pounds at my draw of 26”. Was nervous that I would get adequate penetration lol. One of the arrows pinned a roo to the...
