    Hamskea rests?

They are simple and good. I put one on the girls latest bow. I did use the older style activation cord. Been just as good as my others. I wouldn’t mind trying it over my vapor trails for a season.

    Did it again

I use my retractable hoist and have it fastened to the back of my monster pack. So it stays clear behind me while I climb. This is the best method I have found.

    Hamskea rests?

Hamskea is built like a tank and solid. Lots of ability to tune rest timing and spring tension in the arm. They flat out work and repeat. I have several vapor trails while they are good they are not a hamskea. One the mount brackets warped. It’s came loose a few times. But I favor them for...

Compound bow hoisting/lowering hook up position

I clip onto the bottom cam to prevent dirt in nicks. When I repel down I use my gear ties and quick twist my bow onto my pack. I use my gear hoist for my repel retrieval and this keeps me from power stuffing my bow in the dirt when I come down.

    Taxidermist Issues

I would contact your local wildlife officer/ Dnr. If he’s legitimate I’m sure that would be enough to curb his ignorance if they came knocking. Maybe you could as well see your antlers/cape and document the condition it’s in for if it does get pulled to court you have some weight to work with...

    Best Meat Grinder

Do you have the knife and plates sharpened ? I have been using a old electric grinder my grandparents got. I just send the blades to a sharpener once a year and it continues to spit ground meat out effortlessly and efficiently. Huge huge difference for sure and I don’t freeze to grind.

    To FOC or NOT

If you don’t want to spend a ton of coin. Get some arrows and try them and try different spines. I found victory rip tko with some homemade footers to be one stupid tough arrow combo. Easton axis are fairly cheap and easy to build. If you aren’t exactly looking to go micro shaft etc. gold tip...

    Thumb Release Interest

Tried many. Still settled on my stan sx3. Hunt the classified ads on a few sights and get a few different styles and sizes to try out. Comfort is the number one thing for a thumb release. I have some that just don’t seem to fit my hand good and my accuracy wanders a little.

Considering EZ V sight and need feedback from users please

I shoot both eyes open. Just a habit from guns and transferred to archery. The deer I shot this year just felt plain good. No stress , no time burning verifying everything. I had a good buck pop up right behind me. I didn’t know the yardage. I just grabbed my bow. Pulled back. Framed it and...

Considering EZ V sight and need feedback from users please

I shoot one. I’ve had it for just over a year. Shot a few hundred arrows from it and a deer. Some get it some don’t. I started with no peep at the same time. For a hunting sight I love it. It can take a lot of practice to train the brain and eye. Once done it’s fairly simple. For me it’s just...

    Insulated Hiking Boots

I to use lowas for warmer temps. I tried some danner pronghorn 400 insulates. That’s about the perfect mix for me. Not to hot to hike in and comfy to stand on the platform and ros all day.

    Tether locker

Looks like $12 of clutter. People commonly use castration bands , rubber washer , clothespins , gear ties. I personally use a gear tie and just wrap the majority around the rope and leave about 3” hanging out to wrap on the rope.

    209 primers

Yeah I tried them the other year. Went to shoot a nice doe and got a massive delayed ignition. Tried a few more rounds in the cold and same thing. I do use the Cva Blackhorn plug. They work great in the summer. Test the primers with pellets just to be sure and no issue. Just not hot enough for...

    209 primers

I can find small rifle all day. But nothing for big cal. At least they killed our muzzle loader season and said you can use modern firearms in it now. Had this muzzle loader for 3 years now and haven’t shot a deer with it yet. Maybe next year !

    209 primers

That would be awesome and much appreciated mam ! I would love to use the blackhorn and not the nasty pellet mess. But anything reloading wise around me has been gone.
