Can we start a communal turkey feathers collection/market thread?

Split it then get some sandpaper and clamp on straight clamp or even 2 blocks of wood on piano hinge and put sandpaper flat surface and start sanding. You can do it with a drill press and sanding wheel but you got more control by hand and go in one direction you can also get some binder clips to...

    Tab, glove or other

Bare fingers for me for the last 30 years can’t lose them like I use to when I shot gloves and tabs

    New to trad.

Yeah it doesn’t matter if you shoot lw or rw feathers just match bevels if your shooting broadheads. Tune tune the arrow to bow or vice versa. Hell there’s a couple of us that shoot 2 fletch arrows ask ol @Redbeard

    New to trad.

No problem using pipe cutter but get a wooden dowel to use as reinforcement as you cut and use the standard inserts add weight if needed or cut 1/4” as needed and while you can use opposite fletching for your bevels it’s better to use same bevel so right bevel equals rw fletching you want it to...

    Bow Stand

Umm I plead the 5th and maybe a couple more And yea put some rubber on the ends of nock stand so it’ll be quiet when you put it on the green and not get any snags coming up from the fairway when you go to shoot. You don’t all that mass right there but in your arrow FORE………….

New bow (Osage orange) Any advice?

Yeah you would need at least 600 spine in carbon and 45/50# in woodies for that sweet piece of sage. I’m working on a few bows now and Osage is KING in bow wood I feel !

Considering a crossbow, light recurve or heavy compound?

I agree like all manufacturers there will be issues with a product but the main thing I like about Excalibur is there no BS approach to fixing any defects. Call or email state what issue is and they send you in my case limbs developed a splinter I had it in 2 days no haggling or blames. They...

Considering a crossbow, light recurve or heavy compound?

Travis that crossbow you posted will kill deer all day long just keep the strings and cables lubed and the cam timed. Many ways to do it at home without a press and MAKE sure they keep their fingers below the rail in ANY crossbow you decide. I would personally look in to the Excalibur mag air...

    Best Traditional Arrowheads???

You can get a pass thru with any broadhead from 2 to 6 blades with any poundage provided you hit it in the right spot regardless and with your draw weight I don’t see any issues shooting a narrow 3 blade like the woodsman or VPA or my favorite the Simmons

    Best Traditional Arrowheads???

I shoot them all but I like the big wide 2 blades but the Simmons are just amazing cutting heads. The holes and blood trail is amazing
