    ROS plus Platform?

2 game trackers (no idea how old these are) on an OCB in correlation with the predator platform is a pretty sweet set up.

Stick Attachments on Saddle for Climbing Trees

I second the EWO kydex clip and paracord method. For the platform I have it on my pack, just fling my pack around, grab it, and fasten to the tree. When I used a cam strap I would use the strap as a sling an wear it like a bandolier. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

using sticks to go up, platform to hunt, but rappel down

That's what I do. It's so much easier coming down. Its the only way I'll have my kid in the tree. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Deer Tongue and Chimichurri Crostini

I took the leap and decided to try deer tongue. I was making a batch of Hank Shaw's wedding soup so I threw the tongue in the pot while everything simmered for 3 hours. Peeled it back, sliced it thin, salt and pepper, and pan fried for 30 seconds on each side. Topped with a chimichurri and it...

Hanging from dental floss/ Locked - unsafe practices

The internet is full of bad ideas. This can't be the worst of them lol Now a clove hitch would be better than a marlinspike, but it does slip with amsteel. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

Hanging from dental floss/ Locked - unsafe practices

I do like my 8mm Tethrd ropes and they are a huge improvement over the 11mm, but I don't like having pouches on my saddle. A tether that fits in my pocket would be even better. Or if I used this temporarily and switch to use my lineman rope my tether. Am I solving a problem that doesn't exist...

Hanging from dental floss/ Locked - unsafe practices

On a scale of 1 to 10, how crazy is this (10 being a death wish). 7/64 amsteel with a full bury. Carabiner tied in with a marlinspike hitch (learned this hitch from a guy at saddlepalooza a couple years ago). I rarely adjust once I'm set up so adjustability isn't really a factor for me. I can...

    Hank Shaw's Ground Jerky

I would say there is a good mix of both. Between Meateater and Buck Buck Moose I use BBM 10x more often and EVERYTHING is fantastic. Some of the Meateater recipes haven't impressed me but they are a good starting point. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Hank Shaw's Ground Jerky

Absolutely, do not over-dehydrate. That chewiness makes it candy. I put mine on the smoker for an hour then moved it to the dehydrator. Adding a bit of smoke makes it uber delicious. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Hank Shaw's Ground Jerky

I would think at least a year but it won't make it that long. My family nearly polished off 5 pounds in a month. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Hank Shaw's Ground Jerky

From the Buck Buck Moose cookbook, this stuff is insanely good. Neighbor says this needs to be at the State Fair. Venison, bacon, and blueberries. Yum. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
