    Tall size Camo Search

More votes for FL & Pnuma- I've collected a TON of FL gear over the years- I'm 6'2". 200 lb & the gear fits me very well. My son is 6'6" 240lb & the Tall sized stuff fits him very well. This year after Jan, I picked up some Pnuma gear to try next season, & I like the way it fits as well. Plus...

My herd ranges from 30-55lb @ 28". I mainly use the ones in the 40-45 lb range for hunting.

Pacseat mods: Putting the 'pack' in Pacseat, & other things

It's a Hunt Comfort Scout cushion, available at a bunch of places, including Bassela's. Not cheap, (around $70,) but well worth it in comfort, IMO. Us old guys need to be WICKED COMFY to be still on the ground! If you get one, you'll notice that one side has a black rubbery coating-that's the...

    The Official Ground Hunting Thread

So, here is what I looked like last week when i visited the blowdown. I took a selfie for my daughter, because she likes to laugh at "how ridiculous I look !" On that day, I heard a deer behind me to my right, prob 30-40 yds away, at 06:30. I figured that he'd come down one of the cross trails...

Just look for MOLLE II shoulder straps & MOLLE II waist belt. I found these on eBay, new & un-issued. Issued ones are cheaper, & mostly just as good-you just have to watch out-some vendors won't tell you that the straps are cut, or that there are tears in the material. If you live near a good...

That would definitely work! I would just drill some holes in them in case you're on sloped slippery ground. Then you can use a small tent stake or large nail to secure them in place if needed.

I thought about that, but what stopped me from doing it was: 1- I couldn't find leveling feet big enough in diameter that I thought would not sink into the ground 2- The number of times I've had to use the doorstop so far have been few, so I look at it this way-for me, it's easier to carry it...

Here's a couple more ideas for using the chair: #1-paint or ditch the yellow tennis balls that come with the chair. I read somewhere that deer can see yellow very well. I use these-they're smaller than real tennis balls but still keep the feet from sinking into soft ground ...

I found this spot when I was heading out from a morning hunt. It was too good to pass up. The wind was wrong to continue hunting from there, as it was from the north & this spot needs a south wind. But I took some time to set the Pacseat & do a little trimming so it'll be ready when I come back...

I posted these photos on the Pac Seat review thread, but here they are again. This is how I attached MOLLE shoulder straps & waist belt to my seat-made a world of difference! And here is my pack & dry bag attached-the pack is for my gadgets, water, etc, & the dry bag holds extra layers:

    Official Hat and facemask thread

Here's what I do- in early season when it's warmer, I use burnt cork to paint my face. later, the balaclavas come out. Either way, the hat stays the same.
