    TreeHopper Recon Sling for big guys?

    As others have mentioned, cut off the plastic covering the webbing buckles to get rid of the creaking of the webbing on the plastic.

    Recon sling vs Kestrel?

    I have both and go back and forth. The light weight of the recon is nice. Mine might be too big though. It wont stay up with the belt fully tightened. I have a 32 inch waist. I like the kestrel for the reasons posted by Coathanger15.

    So true. Great comfort while sitting. Leg straps might help keep the lower webbing in place better when leaning. Mine rode up a little when leaning but my tether was a little high.

    Mark said they are toying with the leg straps and isn't sure how useful they will be. He will send me a pair anyway. I have never been in an Anderson. I've had an original mesh trophyline and now have a kestrel.
