Layering paint and stencils

I've used the same process for years with pine, hemlock bows, and fern as a stencil.
Price is Right!

First things first, you did a great job on that paint job. I had never really thought about how to create several layers but now i know.

Secondly, i suppose camoing gear such as this is entirely uneccesary and we only do it beause we like the way it looks. Ideally, no one else will ever see it. When i did some rapid rails i went with a very simple 2 layer pattern and a single treebark stencil i made that you just hold over the piece and move around. You dont get those nice clean lines like you do with a stick on stencil but it is crazy effective and super fast.

I also like dipping some gear. I love the way asat looks on a bow and it is rather effective.

Picked up some stencils from @Anobody and finally got around to working on the sticks. I rushed a bit too much and put the paint on too heavy and didn’t wait long enough between coats lol, so my lines are not as clean as his but still like how they turned outD7257A7F-0690-4664-97E8-00845D6797BA.jpeg9E1877D6-299D-4785-8B9E-366D58AB462A.jpeg9214DAD4-760F-4C4D-A8C7-4703D52C2823.jpegDFA453E3-E71B-47B9-AD57-36CE63E4DE14.jpeg

Awesome looking sticks. Did u have enough stencils ?

Yup perfect amount. Hit me up on text if you still have it

I won't bore you with a photo.
I just use ferns or hemlock. Spray over them with a can of flat paint as a stencil. Three colors seems more than enough.
The work put into above hunting gear posts deserves an at a boy!
