Hello all, I am 56 yrs old and have been saddle hunting for 1 1/2 seasons on and off. Last year I weighed 260 lbs and could struggle to climb 18 ft with 4 full size sticks and aiders. Today I am 185 lbs and did my first climb of the year to full height and was 25 ft 3 inches to platform with ease could have done about 3 ft more but ran into big branches. I can drop a whole stick or two if the canopy is low. 7ft per stick is my max. Who said saddle hunting is for the young studs. Lol.

Congrats on your achievements with both your personal health and your saddle hunting abilities.

My doctor at the VA put me on a new medicine for diabetes. The weight just fell off. 70 in about 6 months or so. I hated it cause now all my hunting cloths don’t fit. Lol. But man I do feel a lot better and my diabetes numbers are great.

Glad you got to your goal.
I am a middle age saddle hunter, middle age is 65 to 85.
I could stand to loose a few pounds! LOL.

Keep up the good work! I try to stay around 170-180 and find my flexibility and stamina go down a bunch from the low end to high. As I'm approaching 73 it seems easier to maintain my weight as eating out has diminished considerably. Hunt Safe and Good Luck!

How awesome for you to drop down that much and get your diabetes in check! Now that’s an actual game-changer shared on Saddlehunter.com :)
