Hey all,
Thanks for the add. Semi new to saddle hunting.Been doing it for a few years on my work gear before I realized others were too and specialized saddles were purpose built for this. Im an arborist for a small tree service in SE PA and been lead climber since 2006 so Im hoping I can help show some of you better easier and SAFER ways to get in and out of trees and you can show me some tricks that Im sure Ive missed for getting the job done with a bow or gun while hanging there.
Recently made the switch from my daily smelly, heavy, sweaty, bar oil and chip crusted NT Onyx with 200’ of 11 mm Safari, Rope Runner, CMI foot and 2nd Gen SAKA knee ascender to a Method 2 which is my dedicated hunt saddle. The thing is so thin and light Id be afraid to attempt much more than hunt from it anyway!
Looking forward to chatting it up with everyone now that I know a tribe like us exist!

Thanks all. Undies is a pretty solid analogy. That saw is def a monster. 125cc’s of ported polished high compession awesome. Daily runs a 42” but put a 60” on for those special occasions. And a kick starter or impact driver hub to start it would be most welcome some days. Esp when I gotta climb with it!

Hey man. We were chatting on another thread then i saw this into..welcome. Fyi, there is a Facebook group called PA Saddle Hunter. I used that to organize a statewide meetup the last 2 years in the off-season. I also have a new group called Southeast PA Saddle Hunters. That's strictly for local meet-up events. If ya like, Send me a personal message via this app or Facebook as John RB, and if ya wanna see the discussion on my methods, the group is JRB Tree Climbing. Always welcome insight from an arborist.
