When I ascend and capture progress, the stretch of dynamic rope causes somewhat of a loss of progress as soon as body weight tension is placed on the line again. I think Nano is a dynamic rope. It has 28% stretch. Compare to Canyon Elite, which is 7% stretch. The sponginess of dynamic rope on a short rappel is undesirable for me. The problem you’ll encounter with dynamic rope is the amount of slack that it presents as a result of its stretch. It’s not the best suited choice for this application.
