    My advice on decoy strings is to stay away from the keel and j hooks. They are time consuming to wrap and the rubber portion that connects to the j weight eventually breaks. we use the 6oz weights, youd be surprised how a strong wind will pull decoys in shallow water. this is how we do it...

    after years of trying different brands of decoys I’ve settled on Avian X. For strings, I like the lifetime Texas rig 4 ft, that length covers most depths you’ll hunt. also, motion decoys are excellent for adding movement to your spread. if you’re looking for calls. That’s awhile different animal.

    I subscribed to SF this year. LiDAR mapping is next level for me. i do find their pinpoint gps to be a little lacking. still using onX for my main app. I wish they would add LiDAR so I wouldn’t need both.
