    Thoughts on Ring of Steps

    What steps are you using? Vet tape on them may help with noise. Also be carefull on loose bark trees. Moving around your boots rubbing on the bark can make noise. I hunted on a ROS for 2 seasons and finally gave up. It was OK early season but not so much when it got cold.

    What bike you have? Looking on Amazon I see some 6000 watt models for $900. I also see some 8000 watt for $1500. Both with dual motors. I know nothing about e bikes! I will use it on legal truck access roads that are too ruff for my truck...

    No regs here on cutting. But I try to not cut if I have another option. I carry these twine bundles. About 6 feet long each. I try and tie branches moving them rather then cutting them. Painters tape works best so they just pull apart.

    If I am reading this correctly, the rope weighs 4oz + 3oz for carabiner. This is a Sterling Predator from Hang Free, 8mm, 8 foot long. With a 28" 6mm TRC eye to eye. These are made in the USA. Carabiner is a Kong from EWO, Made in Italy. Girth hitch tether to tree, no need for a tether locker...
