Wow, that's unfortunate! Hope all is well and you get some time in the woods soon!

I've been hunting a couple different bucks pretty hard - had 3 close calls with a couple mature 8 points (for Michigan). Went out gun hunting, but didn't see any of them (of course). Had my number one buck show up on camera for the first time this year on the 12th (right before gun season)...

I almost punched a tag last night on a mature 8 pt. Buck came on my weak side about 4 o'clock and by the time I turned to shoot that direction he was out of sight. I've got 5 days I'm taking off work in the next 2 weeks, so I'm hoping to make it happen!

Sounds about like what I get done with my deer - my wife loves the jerky and sticks so that's a great excuse for me to get out! I personally stop when my freezer is full - maybe you just need a bigger freezer!

Went out twice this weekend, drew back on a doe but she walked right under my platform and couldn't get a shot at her. It was really windy this weekend here in Michigan.

I got out a few times last week, passed on a few does and a small 8 point. Had that nice cold front push through late last week and looks like another one is coming next weekend. Still learning the new properties that I'm hunting this year so it should be interesting!

Michigan hunter here. Currently living on the west side of the state, I've got permission on a property about an hour south of where I live. I'm planning on hunting there early in the season (October). I've had a camera out there for the past few months - went to check on it and prep some trees...

You could use a few different methods, some people use musturd to get a non-uniform look on the blade, butI don't tend to care for that kind of look. I've used apple cider vinager in the past and had good results with it. If you wipe it down after each use and keep it regularly oiled I wouldn't...
