    Best .44 mag round for deer?

    Same issues with my shoulder and neck. Thought about a crossbow but on the fence with that one. So last season used my Ruger/ Marlin 1894 with 16 inch barrel and took 3 deer using hornady 240 gr xtp. Works great in my revolver also.

    I really can't tell any difference other than being able to put on without having to step through. That in itself is big help to me since I have all my gear attached to my saddle and suspenders.
