    When I started with a saddle a year ago the J3 was an option that was sometimes suggested to me. I pretty much dismissed the idea but may give it a second look since I decided a saddle wasn’t for me. I’m just not sure what a J3 would do over a comfortable Summit Viper.

    Movement in a saddle compared to a stand was my problem, then once the leaves came off the trees come of the trees on the public land I hunt I can see the saddle hunters from pretty far off. I always thought of a saddle as being more of a special option for certain types of set ups.

    I thought a fold up platform like a LW would be ideal. I even had a couple of fold up Summits years ago. I agree with you on safety, I wouldn’t compromise that one bit. I recently seen one of those smaller Summit platforms on FB and almost grabbed it.
