    Getting it up??

Agree on tying the deer in for lifting. I ended up using the straps that came with my hawk helium’s (went to rope mode for those) to cinch deer and gear down in my jet sled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Getting it up??

I use a jet sled and a couple 2x4s to use as a ramp (cheaper if you don’t already have an ATV ramp. Jet sled is good for dragging anyway, and the 2x4s pack well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Saddle hunting with kids?

Got my son shooting from his saddle. Still practicing climbing and starting to get some shooting in now. Will be a while before he takes a shot at a deer from hunting height, but he’s going to get some hang time with me this year. Probably going to keep most of his shots off the ground or from...

The things we find in the woods...

I’ve found some old whisky stills that were long out of service. No pics though...was after a gobbler and didn’t have time to stop and take it all in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saddle Raffle for Veteran w/ Cancer

In...and following! Great idea to help raise some money to support him and his family. Also, there’s a lot of emotional support from seeing people step up to help their fellow man (especially one that has devoted their time/life to defend our freedom). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What time did you kill him?

Killed my biggest deer this year. Nov 1, on an evening hunt over a fresh scrape. Had been in the general area on several hunts, but I moved about 100 yds to a fresher scrape and he came straight to it at about 4:30 PM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hunting with your kids from the saddle.

Reviving an old thread with an update: Getting some practice in now so maybe he’ll be ready this fall. I agree with @flinginairos that the climbing is the toughest part. Gonna try the lifeline strategy to see if that helps. He’s loving it so far! This is going to be awesome! Sent from my...

    TEAM 4 Thread 2019

Definitely a good year for us. I had hoped to put another one on the board before our season wrapped up here in AR, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Don’t see another chance at getting out this year. Great job everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hunting with your kids from the saddle.

Plan on getting my son in a tree with me this next fall. He just turned 9 at the end of December, and he’s been fun hunting for several years. Planning to buy another saddle and let him use my Mantis. Going to practice all summer and get him used to shooting his bow from an elevated position...

Things you've learned (no gear allowed)

Even a small move (less than 100 yards) can make a huge difference. Don’t be afraid to adjust, even if it’s just a little. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Musicians

Same for me...I also tinker with an acoustic guitar, but aside from strumming some basic chords in the form of a song or two, I’m not too handy with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Vortex Solo - Monocular

Agreed! I have some older Leupold 8x25 binos and they have always been awesome except for low light conditions. Then I’m better off without em. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    TEAM 4 Thread 2019

Season goes through Feb. here in Arkansas, so I’ll be out some more. Usually spend quite a bit of time in January filling the freezer with doe meat. I’ll be helping my son (turning 9 years old on Sunday) try to get his first bow kill this year though, so that might slow things down a bit, but...

    TEAM 4 Thread 2019

Awesome job @kyler1945! I’m still after em as well...just not seeing a lot of daytime movement lately. Got some late season spots lined up, just need the time now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Stopping "sag" from haulers on Mantis?

I had one of the straps on my SYS Hauler rip as well. Wife sewed it back on and I’m up and running again. May try this zip tie idea to see if that provides some more stability. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
