Post your 15mins of fame here. Seriously!

Here is Annie Leibovitz critiquing my photography. She mentioned it in her talk at her own exhibition later that evening calling it "haunting, beautiful, and great" Naturally I havent done anything with my photography since then. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    Pods

Well seeing as I have yet to kill or wound a deer I am the most ethical hunter of all yall. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

Poll - Would you pay a tax/fee to allow use of spurs/bolts/screw in steps?

Good way to get timber investors to stop participating in WMA access programs. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    New experimental attachment method.

I dunno I've never been able to consitently open and close carabiners without clicking happening from time to time. Lots of clicking in his videos for example. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    Pods

I would be concerned with spillover effects if the contents of the pod didn't all end up in the deer what is it going to do to small animals in the immediate vicinity? Just like lead shot is banned for migratory birds, whats the downstream toxicity of this stuff? Is a bobcat, buzzard, eagle...

    Pods

Im super late to the game on this thread but when I tell non hunters I bow hunt the overwhelming majority of them have a reaction that indicates to me that they see it as more ethical not less ethical than gun hunting. Sure it's just the romantic aspect that makes them think that, but I don't...

    New experimental attachment method.

Mock up of my new New plan. Pictured is accessory cord and amsteel but I will be using dynamic climbing rope and an aramid hollow braid hitch cord from Samson called ice tail when I am actually putting my life on the line. Basically made an extra long soft shackle with an easy open loop and...

I like that better than my thing. Props to whoever came up with that! Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

That's pretty damn slick Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

I have no problem with delta links being metal. It's the screwing and unscrewing that I don't like. Would love to see your jam knot. https://www.mcmaster.com/5478T1 Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

I think the piece that gets inserted into the loop (I'm gonna start calling this the dogbone) would have to be rather large diameter for the 28mm ring to work. But I could be wrong. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    New experimental attachment method.

I am considering replacing the Slyde with a single link from a grade 120 lifting chain from McMaster Carr. Gonna mock up the hole opening in wood to make sure I can fit enough ropes through the opening but I think the math checks out. The Chain I'm looking at is powdercoated steel with a...

    New experimental attachment method.

The kong slyde is the part I am least happy with. I worry that I am loading the slot "out" in such a way that it make try to expand and end up snapping. Wanted to use a steel rigging ring but can't find one with a small enough inside diameter. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    New experimental attachment method.

Like make the tag end longer and then tying a clove hitch or something around the working end after I got to height? One could certainly do that but I'd like that to be unnecessary, only done for added piece of mind. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    New experimental attachment method.

Section of rubber hose is a good idea even if just for stiffness and wear indication. I'd want to make sure the hose wasn't a part of what made the system safe though. I need to test the pull through scenario without hose for sure. I don't like the passing of the whole tether through a big...

    New experimental attachment method.

I also played with a larger diameter "dogbone" (pictured is 11mm rope which will not pass through the slot even without knots tied in it.) I can always go back to that idea if needed. But it was fairly clunky. I would definitely need to tie it to the tether so I couldn't drop it. Sent from my...

Application is two tether climbing. I'm pretty sure the stopper knot on the tag end could not go through the slot. I intend to test that. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk

    New experimental attachment method.

Before you go any further. This is an attachment method I have not tested rigorously at ALL. IT MAY NOT BE SAFE I intend to test it but wanted yall's thoughts first. I wanted an easy attachment that has no clicking carabiners, no passing tag ends through loops, no unscrewing quick links, not...

    Broadhead Sharpening Advice

I find that when using anything other than a rigid stone, too much pressure can cause the sharpening surface to ripple or indent around the edge causing it to unintentionally blunt the edge. Sent from my SM-A516V using Tapatalk
