    Loose amsteel girth hitch.

This is an amsteel 3 step aider girth hitched onto a rapid rail. Would give me 8 feet in one move. The question is: Is it safe to use amsteel like that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thought for you saddle making gurus!

Hi you saddle making gurus! I was just spending some time at the learning tree with a old school Trophyline tether. Notice the stitched strap in case of a fall. I didn’t hook up according to the instructions. I just girth hitched it. It seems to hold position well enough on birch bark. I’m...

    Deer family yoga

It was a cooooold week of hunting this year. One of the guys has a macabre sense of humour. I shot the buck on the run at 40 yards through the heart. Unfortunately I was in a ladder stand. Never saw one while in the saddle this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Seriously.......

So, I leave tomorrow for the big hunt up north. I’m on my way to the garage to get an oil change and not 500 feet from the garage it starts to run rough and the check engine light comes in with a “Reduced Engine Power” message. Argh, now I’m waiting to hear the cost......[emoji24] Sent from...

    Introductions

Just introduced 2 hunters to saddle hunting. Twin brothers. I let them try a Mantis and old TL stealth model. We all agree the Mantis is lighter but all seem to like the comfort on the TL more. One has money. He has already ordered a JX3. It’s only taken me 10 years to get them on board...

    Buckingham Tree Squeeze.

Who here has used one. The directions are somewhat confusing. I’ve set it up the way I think is best but if anyone here has used one and is confident there set up is correct, please post some pics. Otherwise I’ll find an arborist and pay him for an hour of his time. Sent from my iPhone...

    Scent Delivery System

I believe in using scent. I’ve seen it work many times. What I don’t like is tromping around in the dark making all kinds of noise and possibly leaving my own scent around as well. So, here is my solution. I’ll paint them blaze orange and find a way of attaching some kind of cotton patches...

    Knaider trouble

When I try to use my knaider with my WE steps, the hook consistently hangs up on the step instead of releasing when I step up. Very frustrating. What do you guys do? I wonder what I am doing wrong or not doing right. Does this happen to anyone else? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lasered !!!

Got lasered tonight flying into LA. People buy industrial strength lasers from China. The merchants purposely miss label them so they can be shipped to North America. The people who buy them like to point them at airplanes at night, thinking it’s fun for all. Problem is, these lasers are...

    Releasing knots.

Do any of you folks untie your figure 8’s on you tether or LB? If not, does leaving the rope in a knot degrade it faster? If I leave the knots tied for a season or permanently am I endangering myself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
