    Takedown survival bows?

Anyone got any experience with these bows and how to tune them/or the arrows? I've got a gearscope I've been practicing with but getting arrows to fly straight is a pain. Arrows that came with it werent straight so had to get some new ones.

    Big ball of fire

Y'all got any strategies for dealing with that nuisance? Think I'm gonna get me a set of ROS for some of my valley spots because you basically go blind for an hour when the sun climbs over the hills . Which is currently now hence the rant. Guess I could slide my platform to the other side of...

Well decided to try to use a vertical bow to hunt with today.. Been thinking about getting a for a while. I've used a cross bow for years and of course shotgun and rifles. Local John Deere dealer, Bridgeport Equipment bought the old KMart building in gallipolis and they've got a really nice...

Says that the trigger travel can be adjusted but I am not seeing any instructions on how. Its a bit touchy for my liking and would like to add a bit of travel to it.

    Only problem with precut paracord...

Sometimes you find a crotch just a tad to high... I normally carry 50ish ft of paracord in my pack in case I need to replace a rotten preset or if I decide to set a new tree. Well after my hunt yesterday decided to get a preset in an area I didn't have one in as a a backup plan. Was about...

    Question on cross loaded carabineers

When it's talked about weakening the beener, are we talking about it in its current state of being cross loaded or is the beener now fatigued so if we had a beener rated at 9kn, it gets crossloaded, take it off then use it properly, is it now say a 2kn beener?

    First all-day sit.

Normally this time of year I would of been checking traps on the 11th of november after setting my trapline out on the 10th but decided to skip the aggravation of dealing with other deer hunters since we are getting into peak rut. Had a cold front come in this weekend so decided to do a...

    2TC w/ CT quick roll?

Anyone else use a basically use their SRT gear for 2TC? The hand ascender gives you something easier to grab when you stand on the foot loop and helps give a bit more slack moving the top tether up.

    Shirt or jacket layering?

Had this thought as I was packing up for this evening's sit: better to have a jacketed layer system or a pull over system? I kinda like the jacketed system here since we generally have dangerously cold hunting here and it's a lot easier to keep the sleeves from binding up as you add layers...

First public land hunt and buck

I guess I should say that I did technically hunt once on public land but that was merely an excuse to do some beaver scouting on a place I had planned to trap on but there was some deer drives going on that I bailed a half hour in when guys started just randomly shooting to try to jump up...
